ABOUT THE PROJECTThe aesthetic of the Solar System collection is designed to bring the harmony of our shared home, the “Solar System,” into every individual home. The shades of the wall lamps and pendant lights reflect celestial bodies orbiting around the gravitational center. In the chandelier, the central shade represents the sun, the gravitational core of the solar system, while the shades on the periphery symbolize the planets. In the pendant and wall lights, the center is the common gravitational center of mass, with the planet-like shades revolving around it.
As the trajectory of celestial bodies in space follows a spiral pattern, this is expressed through spiral rods that simultaneously serve as supports for the shades.
An important feature of the chandelier is its ceiling base with backlighting. It represents the cosmos and the stars, and at night, its illumination resembles the halo of a solar eclipse or the accretion disk of a black hole — an allusion to one of the rare cosmic phenomena.
The collection includes 4 lighting elements:
- Chandelier with 9 plafonds
- Pendant light with 2 plafonds
- Wall lamp with 2 plafonds
- Pair of wall lamps with 1 plafond
PHILOSOPHYThe project encapsulates one main idea along with several additional concepts. The core idea lies in the representation of our existence and gravity as an invisible force that keeps celestial bodies in proximity. It is gravity that shapes the movement of celestial bodies in the vastness of space, a concept reflected in the Solar System lighting collection.
The design of the lights also carries connotations. The spiral structures of the chandelier evoke the image of flowing feminine hair, while the wall lamps resemble earrings. This not only brings harmony to feminine energy but also balances the inner sense of self. Energetically, the spiral harmonizes the space by absorbing negative energy.
The spiral also holds many symbolic meanings, including development, progress, the connection between the center and the space around it, and infinity. The spiral is one of the most ancient symbols, often signifying the cyclical nature of the universe and existence in many ancient cultures.
